Creating hope for homeless children

A Child’s Place supports children and their families when they lose their home,
helping to stabilize their lives so that they can start anew.

Our Story

You can change a child’s life

Whether giving your time or resources, you can help a child find new hope through education and the opportunities that come with it.

Be a lunch buddy, host a fundraiser, start a donation drive, or tutor a student in need. However you volunteer, it’ll mean the world to a child.

Your gift will impact the life of a child and family. Plus we are always in need of items to support kids’ everyday lives–uniforms, toiletries, and household items.

Together we’re making a difference

This past school year, A Child’s Place served 2,002 homeless students in 15 Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. By working with students in need and collaborating with their teachers, we’re helping each child improve and excel in their education.

Success Stories

Help when it’s needed most

Your gift of any amount will go a long way in helping children at a time of crisis. Our goal is that no matter what, we keep students in school, with healthy behaviors, and up to date on classroom learning and homework.
